Skye Butterfield

Content Coordinator
Skye Butterfield holds a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from San José State University. She currently works as a full-time musician and composer in Los Angeles. She and her husband, Edi Roque write and perform as the duo Embracing Oceans with their sweet dog, Peter managing the group.
Mia Ibrahim

Advisor
Mia Ibrahim holds a bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance and Education from San José State University, as well as a Masters from Teachers College at Columbia University. She works as a music teacher in the South Bronx, where she has started a GSA club for her students. In her free time she volunteers as a lacrosse coach and for the Sylvia Rivera Law Project. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner, Chelsea and their dog, Charlie.
Julia Main

Production Advisor
Julia is a director and creative producer for documentary and branded content bases in New York City. Her work focuses on social justice and contemporary art + artists. She has produced in the field across the United States and internationally. Her most recent projects include HBO’s Student Athlete, and Met Stories a 12-part series in celebration of The Metropolitan Museum’s 150th Anniversary.
Karina Muranaga

Designer
Karina Muranaga is an artist and designer who believes holistic social change that is deeply rooted in creative practices will build a more equitable future. As Design & Experience Manager at A Blade of Grass she leads the organization’s design on all fronts, from brand development to user experience across digital and physical spaces. Her work was most recently featured by the United Nations as part of their COVID-19 digital campaign. She holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art from New York University.
Ranese Southerland

PR Advisor
Ranese Southerland is a New York native who holds a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture and Communications from New York University. She works as a publicist, giving PR support across various industries including entertainment, gaming, technology and consumer products. When she’s not advising her clients, she enjoys submerging herself in podcasts, dancing and taking care of her “adopted” cat trio she calls “The Yard Catz.”
